Job Overview

Job title – Aerial Port Supervisor


Knowledge of Aerial Port supervision to include Air Freight Terminal, Passenger Terminal, Tactical Delivery Terminal, Mobility Operations and Plans, and Training Section activities.  Knowledge of types, capacities and configuration of C-130 aircraft; airdrop techniques; weight and balance factors; arithmetic devices; in-flight emergency procedures and emergency equipment; use of aircraft communications equipment, oxygen equipment, loading charts and technical orders; cargo restraint techniques and clearance requirements; and aircraft/training forms is mandatory. Graduate of accredited loadmaster course and instructor course is mandatory.  Graduate of  Parachute Packing, Maintenance and Air Delivery Course and Joint Army/Air Force Airdrop Load Inspector Certification Course would be preferred.  Must possess knowledge of training techniques; instructional methodology, learning processes, training curriculum and training evaluations.  Additional knowledge of air delivery inspections, assault zone operations, mobility operations and load   planning is preferred.


Shall have ten (10) years experience as a loadmaster, not less than four (4) years experience as an Aerial Port/loadmaster supervisor, and four (4) years experience as an instructor.  Shall have had practical experience within the past three years.


  • Reports to the Base Operations/Aerial Port Manager as a member of his staff. Functions as the Aerial Port Supervisor.
  • Supervises Aerial Port contractor operational personnel.  Oversees the Air Freight Terminal, Passenger Terminal, and Tactical Delivery Terminal daily operations.  Supervises Aerial Port Mobility operations.  Determines Aerial Port operational requirements; equipment and maintenance requirements; and Air Traffic procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Aerial Port Officer.
