Job Overview


Completion of a basic course in either aircraft or turboprop engine maintenance is mandatory.  Completion of an advanced course in either specialty is highly desirable. Knowledge of basic computer systems operation is desirable.  Must be knowledgeable of the maintenance management system; AFM 66-1, 00-20 series technical orders, AFR 50-23 or CLIENTS equivalents.


Ten years experience in the aircraft maintenance field, of which at least two years on the C-130 aircraft, is mandatory.  A minimum of two years in Job Control is mandatory.  Experience in a C-130 Job Control is desirable.


  1. Maintain visual aids depicting status of aircraft, support equipment, vehicles and specialist availability/utilization.
  2. Authorize, assign and control scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions on assigned, transient, and aircraft undergoing depot level maintenance.
  3. Supervise and control Maintenance communications and transportation systems.
  4. Report status of aircraft and equipment in accordance with CLIENTSM 65-110.
  5. Coordinate functional check flight requirements with appropriate agencies.
  6. Control aircraft and aerospace ground equipment parking and utilization.
  7. Keep all concerned activities informed of changes in priorities, plans and schedules.
  8. Develop, maintain and implement section procedural checklists.
  9. Conduct familiarization and continuation training for CLIENTS Job Control personnel.
  10. Perform other related duties as directed.
