The international Aviation Technical College Head of Department – Instructional Design and Developments is responsible for the design, development and continuous improvement of all curriculums and learning resources, electronic and digital support material, the optimization and utilization of the learning managements system and ensuring that teachers have access to the best possible learning materials.

This will be achieved through the following ongoing roles and responsibilities:

·         Provide effective leadership, guidance and mentoring to the instrucitonal Design and Development Team directly involved in the development, approval of courseware and associated documents

·         Drive the continuous improvement process across all training programs offered by International Aviation and Technical College Riyadh to ensure continuity and genuinely student focused approach to learning.

·         Ensure that all course materials are complaint with all regulatory authorities and guidelines required by the International Aviation and Technical College Riyadh to deliver its programs.

·         Liaise with the relevant Deans, Directors, Head of Department, Subject Matter Experts, and instructional staff to ensure effective development and continuous improvement of courseware.

·         Prioritize, plan and coordinate:

o   The development of tradition and digital resource development functions

o   Regular performance management and assessment of all staff involved in the Instructional Development and Design team

o   The appropriate storage and usage platforms for all of the courseware developed or under development

·         Maintain and develop the functionality of the digital learning management system

·         Consult with partners and clients to ensure that courseware design product development meets their training needs

·         Undertake projects when required that involve investigation, research, analysis and development provide reports with evidence-based recommendations

·         Utilize available data and information to inform continuous improvement and to improve the relevance of curriculum and courseware

·         Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by accountable managers and executive staff

·         Comply with all International Aviation College Riyadh guidelines and procedures

·         Participate in college strategic planning activities.

·         Actively participate in your own performance planning and review process.

·         Lead and manage the administrative functions within the Instructional Design and Development team including budget preparation, operational compliance and staff training ensuring that all available resources in the team are effectively utilized.

·         Provide leadership and influence as a Head of Department of the IATC both within the college and in the broader community.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Applicant must possess tertiary level qualifications relevant to the role. Teaching qualifications are essential. Post graduate study and/or qualifications in leadership and management would be beneficial to the application.


Experience in leading a team of quality professionals delivering strategic direction that guides effective operational processes. Experience in the vocational training sector is essential. Knowledge of and previous experience in the aviation training sector is not mandatory but will be advantageous.


o   This is a new position

o   Travel between campus will be essential to the success of the role.

o   The position is fulltime and based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

o   Applicants will need to be eligible to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

o   A contract commensurate with the role and the skills and experience demonstrated will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

o   You will be required to complete a period of probation.


Salary is based on qualification and experience and negotiable.

Contract Status Single/if someone married and wish to bring his wife, then after six month make a request to the HR.
