Cougar – Engine & Propeller Maintenance Technician

Position Details

• Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Required Qualifications

1. Certificate in rotary-wing aircraft engine maintenance, specializing in Cougar aircraft
2. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles related to rotary-wing aircraft engines, maintenance procedures, and internal engine parts
3. Ability to read engine configurations and internal components
4. Graduate of a military or equivalent institute
5. At least a high school diploma, preferably with a technical background
6. English language proficiency of 85%, with basic reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation skills

Experience & Skills

1. At least 10 years of experience specializing in Cougar rotary-wing aircraft
2. At least 2 years of experience in the same specialization during the last two years
3. Knowledge of analysis methods and materials; understanding of applicable technical principles and standards
4. Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals
5. Ability to prepare and issue equipment repair reports accurately
6. Advanced courses in the field of specialization
7. Experience in quality assurance and training

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Carry out maintenance on Cougar aircraft engines, rotors, and dynamic systems
2. Evaluate inspections, maintenance, and repair procedures for engines, rotors, and dynamic systems
3. Diagnose and resolve maintenance problems related to engines, rotors, and dynamic systems
4. Perform repairs using the necessary equipment and tools
5. Determine required procedures for disassembly, repair, or replacement of engine/rotor/dynamic system components
6. Inspect dynamic systems using visual inspection methods; perform tests and analyze faults and malfunctions
7. Carry out repairs by replacing components, removing defective parts, and installing new ones
8. Prepare required materials and reports
9. Carry out scheduled maintenance
10. Manage and follow up on training programs
11. Train individuals in the use of weather/reference equipment
12. Train individuals according to the training plan at all training levels
