Lead Methods Engineer – Electrical Wiring and Avionics

We are looking for a Lead, Methods Electrical / Avionics Integration to add his/her expertise to our team. This position will support Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and other internal groups to solve technical and scheduling problems and manage the incorporation of engineering change into the build during our manufacturing ramp up.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Methods Engineering Technologists within the avionics and electrical installations discipline.
  • Set clear objectives aligned with company goals and manage team and individual performance.
  • Ensure adherence to Engineering and Quality processes to deliver high-quality planning documentation that meets customer and program expectations.
  • Support Production during assembly and installations; resolve technical issues and optimize work packages.
  • Define and continuously improve processes, tools, and behaviors based on business needs, innovations, and market changes.
  • Review engineering changes for manufacturability and incorporate them into builds efficiently.
  • Track staff progress and time usage through effective task scheduling.
  • Develop team members through performance management, career development, succession planning, and recruitment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Combination of education and experience in aerospace and/or manufacturing will be considered.
  • Degree or diploma in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience (e.g., AME, Assembler).
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, specifically in avionics and electrical integration.
  • Previous team leadership experience is an asset.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and estimating.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to present technical information to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Innovative, decisive, and collaborative team player with a strong customer focus.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace sector.
