Main Role:

The Machinist reports to the Production Supervisor. Performs all maintenance work, including disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, components removal, installation, functional testing, and operational checks and troubleshooting on all aircraft systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performs maintenance on environmental, pneumatic, bleed air systems, draw-through and forced-air systems, life support, hydraulic assemblies, units, and test benches.
  2. Comply with service bulletins, service letters, time change technical orders, and engineering orders when issued.
  3. Manufacture and pressure test rigid tubing and flexible hose assemblies.
  4. Operational test all aircraft fuel systems including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components where and when required and diagnose and correct any malfunctions. Install, operate, test, and adjust aircraft fuel system components.
  5. Determine from blueprints, documents, technical orders, and other specifications the proper sealing compounds, cleaning solutions, and repair procedures.
  6. Jack, level, and weigh aircraft.
  7. Work with prints, drawings, work orders, task cards, flight sheets, and assembly pages, technical orders, manuals, rework, and perform the necessary assembly work to accomplish plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural assignments on aircraft, engines, accessories, and components thereof.
  8. Assure work performance meets aviation regulatory standards and is in accordance with approved technical data.
  9. Perform aircraft ground handling, servicing, and discrepancy correction as required to return the aircraft to service.
  10. Ensure that only tooling and equipment in current calibration is utilized for repairs or alterations of aircraft and aircraft components or systems.
  11. Ensure all tooling and equipment utilized during maintenance and repairs are accounted for.
  12. Comply with and enforce safety and foreign object damage programs.
  13. Sign off completed work accomplished personally and by non-certified mechanics.
  14. Collaborate with colleagues and team members to achieve job-specific goals, sharing insight and expertise. (General Duty)
  15. Perform any other duty assigned by line superior related to the job as needed. (General Duty)
  16. The employee shall comply with Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures, and guidelines under MEPC to create a safer environment. (General Duty)

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Required: Certified Mechanic and must possess an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic (FAA and/or PCA).

Experience:

  • Required: Five (5) years wide-body aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Optional: Must write, speak, and read English fluently.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of aircraft maintenance operations within a certified repair station.
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints, drawings, or other technical material.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Should possess mathematical, mechanical, and technical skills.
